Leading into the Lenten season the scripture readings from Sunday, Feb. 10th reflected on our human sense of unworthiness but God’s great love and mercy. It is often our sense of “not being good enough” that keeps us from loving and being loved. thankfully Jesus came to reveal God’s love and freedom.
Some highlights for the past week:
Donut Day – Fat Tuesday – Mardi Gras , preceded Ash Wednesday. This Sisters enjoyed homemade donuts in the German tradition.
The Sisters entered into Lent with the words from Psalm 51 “Give me back the joy of my salvation.” They will pray with these words personally and communally throughout Lent.
The Vocation Director for the community spent the week at Bucknell University for the Busy Persons Retreat at the Newman House. Around 22 students participated in this retreat experience!
And Valentine’s day was celebrated in the nation. Let us remember the greatest love that has been given us in Jesus!
