Week of March 31st – Let us rejoice and be glad!

Easter Week – a week that within the Church is like one long Easter Day “This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad” (Psalm 118).

In this week of rejoicing in the risen Lord the daily scripture readings reveal how difficult it was for the disciples to recognize the resurrected Jesus.  Perhaps they thought “this is too good to be true.”  But he doesn’t give up on them and returns over and over again to speak words of comfort and offer the evidence found in scripture.

The invitation is to stop, look, and listen for the presence of the Lord in our daily lives.  Then we are able to rejoice and be glad in all the ways God is revealed.

This week the Sisters rejoiced

in the Easter Sunday Mass and celebratory meal shared with many guests – truly a joyful day!
