Trinity Sunday – June 15th
“Brothers and Sisters, rejoice” (2 Cor. 13: 11).
“God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life” (John 3:16).
We celebrate that God is love, that God is community – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And we celebrate that we are drawn into this community of love.
This community of love reminds us that we are called to build communities of love, one relationship at a time.
The Sisters of the Holy Redeemer celebrate experiences of community this past week:
Gathering for daily prayer and Mass
Gathering for a meeting to share with one another the activities of the Province
Gathering with gardeners for the first Community Garden party this season to welcome in Summer and celebrate the fruit of their labor
Gathering with the family of one of the Sisters’ co-workers to celebrate the graduation of their daughter
Praying for the Sisters in Leadership as they gather these days for inspired planning
Gathering with the students in the school garden as they continue caring for creation during their summer vacation
Gathering with a community of health care leaders to learn ever more deeply the ministry of healing by engaging heart and head and feet
We are blessed with our relationships that strengthen the call to community.
Perhaps you can take time this week to reflect upon the relationships in your life – to offer gratitude for the gift of love and to seek guidance to repair those relationships that are wounded or lukewarm.
